Welcome to Benin !
The
diplomatic relations between Benin and Japan date back to April
1961.
However cooperation between the
two Countries was started only from the early eighties.
Since then, multiple actions have
been undertaken to strengthen our relations in various fields
(diplomatic and political, economic, cultural etc.)
A new impetus was brought to the
cooperation by the opening of the Embassy of Benin to Japan on 18
November 2002, established in Tokyo, with jurisdiction over other
Asian Countries, namely:
- Singapore
- Philippines
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Brunei Darussalam
- Republic of Korea
- Democratic People's
Republic of Korea
- Australia
- New Zealand and
- Papua New Guinea
Thus, the newly created post of
Tokyo, sheltered in Japan, second world economic power, center of
the Asian economy, has the pleasant task of presenting our country,
Benin, in this part of the Globe as what it is indeed :
- A peaceful country and
a renowned model of democracy.
- A country with
considerable potentialities for investment and development in all
fields (tourism and culture, natural resources, qualified human
resources)
- A Nation with a bright
future.
Welcome to our website
and please enjoy discovering Benin and Benin-Asian cooperation.
Thank you
